William Reid
Dallas, TX & New York, NY
In 1997, William Reid was a fashion start-up whose namesake designer began producing Italian menswear from his Dallas home office while consulting for the likes of Reebok, PGA Tour Apparel, and JCPenney. With external investment the company grew to a loft office, entry into major US menswear stores, then on to major retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom.

9/11, which occurred a day after William Reid’s spring 2002 New York runway show, forced dissolution. A few short years later, the brand was reborn as an independent retail presence. Billy Reid stores continue to sell the apparel brand at 11 locations nationwide and through reestablished relationships with Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale's.

As sole art director working directly with creative director and owner Billy Reid, I had the amazing opportunity to design, implement, and influence the company’s brand from inception through its transition to a nationally recognized and awarded New York fashion presence. When the brand was reincarnated as Billy Reid, I assisted with the business plan, branding, direct mail, and email marketing.

This handmade leather-bound folio of collection illustrations was used to garner the attention of prospective buyers at the brand's first New York Menswear Collective trade show appearance. The piece was so well received over a dozen upscale menswear stores bought into the collection.
